After two hours of emotions, Cimone Volley is defeated 1-3 (21-25 25-17 25-27 25-27) by Copra Berni in an enthusiastic Palapanini in the second competition of the semi final play off: A result that allows Piacenza to go through to the semi finals of the Championship Shield.  Modena played with the diagonals of Ricardinho-Sartoretti, Felipe-Murilo, Giani-Cardona with Casтli libero. Piacenza responds with Grbic-Simeonov, Zlatanov-Marshall, Cozzi-Bovolenta, Sergio as libero. the first set was very intense: Piacenza lead out with Marshall and Zlatanov but Modena stay on their trail.  In the end recriminate for some decisions made by the referees and Zlatanov helps to win the first set for the guests. In the second set it was Cimone Volley's turn to set the rhythm of the match: efficient strokes and wall hits (5 winning points in the set) were always present.  Copra have difficulty with reception and Cimone Volley take advantage of it with a great Sartoretti (7 points) and fly off (8-4 16-9 21-14).  Bruno Bagnoli substitutes Nalbert in place of Felipe and Modena ends the second set 25-17. The third set is played head to head: each team showing equal strength. The most decisive are Marshal on one side and Felipe on the other.  At 22-20 Modena has a chance to extend it's lead but Piacenza doesn't give in and in the end an error by Cardona and an ace by Dunnes give to set to the white and red of Copra (25-27), The fourth set is equally great.  Everything is decided at the end: at 25-24 Cimone has the ball to take the match into the fifth set, but Sartoretti becomes enclosed by the wall.  Zlatanov scores 2 aces which send Piacenza into the semi final (25-27).  At the end of the match there was a moving goodbye to Andrea Giani.  Everyone was on their feet applauding for the captain of Cimone Volley and one of the biggest Italian sporting men who leaves playing volleyball in order to dedicate himself to being a coach, starting with the young players of the young blue squads. 'has it really been my last match? I think so," said Giani.  " There are moments when a sportsman has to make choices.  I'm calm, but I'm very attached to this society and to this city: We'll see what the society offers me....We'll see, we'll see between the end of this week and the beginning of next week."
