31.10.2006 - PALLAVOLO MODENA PRESENTS CHAMPIONSHIP A YOUTH PROJECT "TECHNIQUE TRAINING COURSE"

Pallavolo Modena looks ahead from one day to the next by placing great emphasis on investing in young players. This goal has not only been discussed, but it has been put into practice. It is in this way that, alongside the work of the youth sector of the Anderlini Cimone Volley School, a new project, under the leadership of Andrea Nannini, has been started as from this season: Championship A Youth Project 'Technique Training Course.' The aforementioned project is a programme of technical and physical training for the players with the best prospects who were born between 1986 and 1991. The project aims to improve the individual technical and physical assets of the youths (regardless of whether they come from Modena or Italy) that have shown willingness, predisposition and determination to reach ambitious goals. The programme, which began last September, includes three morning training sessions at Palapanini, which are in addition to the sessions that the players attend with their respective teams in the afternoon. After a few months of training, the project hopes to include the participation in competitions in Poland, Bulgaria, Russia and France, in order for the team to compare itself with other European volleyball schools. The technical guide for the project is Assen Galabinov, with the technical supervision and collaboration of Professor Andrea Tomasini (Vice Trainer for Cimone Volley). It's an analytic and deep projct for the technical and physical growth of the young players. Furthermore, it's an important opportunity for the athletes who are going through a period in which technique is a corner stone for their development. Today the group is made up if ten players from Italy, Bulgaris and Chile, although this figure is set to rise in the near future. The project lasts for three years and the participants are available to play in the main squad and often take part in the Cimone Volley training sessions. - Manager os the project: Andrea Nannini - Trainer: Professor Assen Andreew Galabinov Born in Sofia on 07/13/1959.
