Trenkwalder Modena will play its second day of the A1 Series Championship against Antonveneta Padova on Sunday at Palasport Giuseppe Panini in Modena (starting at 6 pm). The expectations for an important match and a Gialloblú party are getting higher and higher. After the defeat in Montichiari the whole Modenese group feels like getting onto the field again and will try to make a comeback after the knock out of last Monday. And these have been very intense training days, also with the return of Murilo and Lee. "We looked at the match at Montichiari again and analysed it. We saw that, especially in the first two sets, we didn't take advantage of all the opportunities we had created: this gave us confidence, because we know that we can improve and we know what to do - Wytze Kooistra, Dutch opposite of 209 cm at his first Gialloblú season, emphasises - We have done wonderful trainings this week and we played very well on Thursday during the friendly match with Noliko (3-0, ed): the team is focused and confident about its capacities and we should win from Padova. My position? - (Kooistra moved from central to opposite this year, ed) - My idea is that I need to play an awful lot in the position of opposite to understand it and the situations in the game as well. I need to test the situations in the match, the options and the attacking solutions many times. I can see I improved from this Summer until now, I see myself getting better every day, but as said previously I need time, training and matches. I'm very much looking forward to playing at PalaPanini with the Modenese shirt on Sunday - Kooistra emphasises - I'm not sure what to expect exactly, I played here as an opponent and I've always seen a nice environment and many fans. I would like it if there were many people: it's an important match and together we want to win."
A GIALLOBLU' SHIRT FOR OLYMPIC PLAYER FILIPPO CAMPIOLOI. The Modenese Filippo Campioli will be rewarded on Sunday before the match between Trenkwalder and Antonveneta on Sunday: the Italian champion high jumping and star of the finals of high jumping at the Olympics in Beijing 2008, will receive a personalised shirt of Trenkwalder Modena.

03.10.2008 - GOOD TEST MATCH WITH NOLIKO. ON SUNDAY PADOVA ARRIVES. TRENKWALDER AND... "PROFESSIONAL FAN"
PALASPORT G.PANINI (MODENA) - The first match at home is coming closer for Trenkwalder Modena, that will play the second day of the A1 Series at Palasport Giuseppe Panini against Antonveneta Padova on Sunday (starting at 6 pm). And while the expectations for the match are increasing, the team played a challenging friendly match against the Belgian Noliko Maaseik, who will join the next Campion's League.Trenkwalder delivered an excellent performance showing signs of growth. Andrea Giani lined up setter Travica, opposite Kooistra, spikers Murilo and Sartoretti, centrals Lee and Sidao, and Rinaldi libero. In the third set Lee and Murilo made room for Tencati and Siebeck. Noliko Maaseik with coach Vitalheiden played with setter Pinheiro, opposite van Walle, hitters Araha and Maan, centrals Wiebel and Van Decraen and libero Derkoningen. With a 3-0 score another set was played. Apart from the good heat of the whole group, the 15 points from Kooistra were remarkable, as were the 14 points by Sartoretti (lined up as hitter) with 61% attacking and with 2 blocks. Lee's performance was very good: the American central scored 8 points in two sets, of which 3 blocks. "I'm happy about my heat and the performance of the team - David Cameron Lee, central from the USA said, who wasn't playing last Monday in Montichiari, and is now on his way to complete recovery - We're working so hard and the team is getting better at every training. Personally I'm recovering, my ankle is getting better and I'm focusing on technical aspects and on becoming a real member of the team. The teamwork with Travica? Today was the first time we played a match together: it felt good but naturally we need to work a lot to optimise the teamwork. I'll be there on Sunday, I can't wait to play at PalaPanini with the Gialloblú shirt."
TRENKWALDER AND "PROFESSIONAL FAN". Trenkwalder Modena decided to undertake an important and innovative initiative this season, to intensify the positive values that come with the world of sports and volleyball in particular. Trenkwalder, the main sponsor of Trenkwalder Modena, will give the fans of the hosting team a name plate with "Professional Fan" before every match played at home, at Palasport Giuseppe Panini in Modena. This way job centre Trenkwalder wants to leave a concrete message of hospitality and cordiality welcoming the fans visiting us at home, at Palasport Giuseppe Panini. Trenkwalder also wants to acknowledge and reward the effort, the passion and love of the fans for the colours of their city that make them follow their team both at home and for away matches. On Sunday the 5th of October, before the beginning of the match Trenkwalder Modena-Antonveneta Padova (starting at 6 pm), Trenkwalder will therefore reward the representatives of the supporters club of the team from Veneto. Since it's the first time Trenkwalder Modena will be playing at home it will also be the pleasant occasion to reward the two supporters clubs from Modena who always "play" on the side of the Gialloblú champions: Kollettivo Gialloblu and Torcida Gialloblu. Supporting one's own champions, in sports and volleyball in particular, means passion, choruses, colours, "student" behaviour, even teasing, but always in a celebrative and enjoyable context, with loyal, correct and positive emotions.

01.10.2008 - MURILO: "I'M READY". TRENKWALDER MODENA-ANTONVENETA PADOVA ON SUNDAY AT PALASPORT G.PANINI
He got off the plane on Monday night in , directly from Brasil, he put on his Gialloblú shirt immediately in Montichiari and popped in during the third set, welcomed by his affectionate teammates and the chorus of the fans in
Modena .
Endres Murilo is back to face his third season in Modena: a talented and experienced hitter, the whole Summer he has been a star with the greengolden Brasilian shirt of coach Bernardinho who made him a regular player in the Brasilian National team. "I took the plane just after the finals of the American Cup because I wanted to be near my teammates immediately - Trenkwalder Volley spiker Endres Murilo, 27 years old and 194 cm tall, says - Unfortunately the plane was a bit delayed, I arrived in the middle of the second set after a long journey, I didn't manage to do a proper warming up nor "touch" the ball, I just arrived at the end. It was great to see the guys again: after four months I really felt like embracing
Modena again, and the teammates, Giangio, the managers and the fans. In spite of the defeat I saw a motivated team: I spoke to the guys, there's a good atmosphere, serenity and a lot of confidence. The team is new and young, we know there's a lot of work to be done, but we have quality and potential. Of course we felt the absence of some of the players, also because it's not easy to train with less players. I'm very sorry that the season began with some physical problems for my teammates and therefore for the team, but things will get better, we'll work hard together and I'm sure we will grow. Travica? Dragan is one of the talents and one of the promises in volleyball. Changing the setter in a team is changing the "heart" of a team: he's facing a demanding job and we will have to help him. How I'm doing? I really feel like playing for
Modena , it has been a very long and intense Summer indeed and I need a couple of days to get over the jet lag. But I'm ready and I will be there on Sunday. The Olympics? What can I say, a silver medal is always an important result, but it's not easy to digest a defeat in Olympic finals. In four years with the National team we won a million times, it would have been fantastic to crown that period with gold. It is a disappointment, I still think of the defeat quite often, but now I'm in
Modena and I'm thinking enthusiastically about this season with Gialloblú!".
Sports director of Modena Volleyball Leonardo Caponi was together with Murilo this morning: "We're very happy Murilo arrived. Both during the training and the match we felt people missing. Now that some guys are recovering we'll certainly grow. For what we showed at least during the first two sets, we would have deserved a bit more in Montichiari. Talking about Mondays'match I would like to emphasise the heat of Sartoretti who did very well, making his come-back as an attacker after a couple of years. As said previously, we have to grow, but we're serene, confident and convinced about our capacities."
TOMORROW FRIENDLY MATCH WITH NOLIKO MAASEIK. Tomorrow afternoon, on Thursday the 2nd of October, Trenkwalder Modena will play a friendly match with the Belgian team of Noliko Maaseik that will join the Champions League next season, at Palasport Giuseppe Panini in
Modena at 5.30 pm (warming up starts at about 5 pm).
SUNDAY OCTOBER 5 AT PALASPORT G.PANINI: TRENKWALDER MODENA-ANTONVENETA PADOVA. The second day of the A1 Series Championship will be next weekend and the Gialloblú team is preparing its début in front of the Modenese audience. On Sunday, the 5th of October Trenkwalder Modena-Antonveneta Padova will be played at PalaPanini. The match will start at 6 pm.

Montichiari - Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari and Trenkwalder Modena were worth their prime time on Sky Sport 2, playing a match that was nice and balanced for two sets. In the first set the teams were practically even, with Mikko Esko attacking, who found convincing reactions immediately from Horstink and Gavotto, both with 67%. Dragan Travica enjoyed himself with Sartoretti on the other side of the net, engaged in position 4 because of Dennis and Murilo being absent (who arrived in the second set, noticed by the referees), and Kooistra who immediately appeared to be comfortable in his opposite position. The balance tipped to the hosting team thanks to the smashing service from Modena and a miraculous defence that provoked the attack of Gavotto and his teammates. In the second set Modena dropped drastically in attacks, Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari's block became impenetrable and Trenkwalder, with a reception that didn't show a great involvement of the centrals didn't manage to turn the tables. The third set was less uncertain, Berruto's line-up gained confidence scoring point after point. It was the pressure that came with the service of those from Lombardia that knocked off Modena, that didn't find that flash to fight back against the hosts who took flight, also paying for the evening with their own servers. Mikko Esko (Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari): "We probably played better than it felt like on the field. I was nervous, tense, but we managed to get those three points and it's a victory that will help us to perform even better. We had a great attitude in defence, touching so much and saving so many balls from the floor." Andrea Giani (Trenkwalder Modena): "We played ball by ball for two sets but different from our opponents we haven't been cynical. In the third set we became divided and this shouldn't happen. This result shouldn't put us down, but we have to keep working. In spite of the defeat I'm more and more confident about the potentials of our team." It's true we're missing some players (Lee, Murilo and Dennis, ed) and we're sorry for it, but let's not find excuses. The team I have in hand is very good, I see the guys are serene and they really want to do well: we're going to Montichiari to play. Acqua Paradiso? It's a really good team, together with us, Perugia and Martina Franca they're part of those teams, let's say from the second group, that want to be stars. We know the A1 Championship very well: it's long, every match is balanced, we need to use every opportunity to grow and step forward. 26.09.2008 - ON MONDAY ACQUA PARADISO MONTICHIARI-TRENKWALDER. TRAVICA TALKS. SEASON TICKETS EXCEED 2000 QUOTA!
We're there now. The 64th A1 Series Men's Championship kicks off at the weekend and Trenkwalder Modena will start on Monday night, on the 29th of September at 8.30 pm in Montichiari for the first "Monday Night" of the season (Live on Sky Sport). In the meantime the expectations are growing and so does the desire to see the new Gialloblu team at work: "We're serene, sure of our capacities and we know we have done a good job over the last couple of weeks - Dragan Travica, 22 years old, 200 cm and new "conductor of the orchestra" of Trenkwalder Modena, emphasises - We're not complete of course, (Murilo, Dennis and Lee will be missing, ed) and perhaps Montichiari is favourite because it can count on all its players. But we are going to Montichiari to play: we're a very united group and we really want to win. I think motivation can make the difference. As for the technical aspect, I believe Acqua Paradiso is a strong and balanced team. We'll have to try to beat them and stop them with blocks, because with Horstink, Gavotto and the others attacking, they really have potential. I repeat, we are ready, calm and happy to play. I personally can't wait to put on the Gialloblu shirt of Modena and perform!". SEASON TICKETS CAMPAIGN: 2000 QUOTA EXCEEDED! The beginning of the Championship 2008/2009 is coming closer and the Season Tickets Campaign of Trenkwalder Modena is continuing steadily. The fans from Modena are being close to the team as always and passionate for the Gialloblu (yellow blue) colours. The Season Tickets Campaign goes on through the Offices of Palasport Giuseppe Panini (Viale dello Sport 25 in Modena). We decided to keep the prices unchanged and above that the initiative referred to as "beating heart" of Palasport Giuseppe Panini (the "Gialloblu curve") will continue: an initiative that wants to bring volleyball closer to young people and all sportsmen. In addition Pallavolo Modena has thought of a nice present for those who take out a subscription this year: Andrea Giani's book "Una vita in volo". For further details see the text on the side or tel. 059.4821911 and www.pallavolomodena.com. DAVID LEE ON SKY SPORT 2 IN THE PRE-MATCH ACQUA PARADISO MONTICHIARI-TRENKWALDER MODENA ON MONDAY. Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari-Trenkwalder Modena (on Monday the 29th of September at 8.30 pm) is the first "Monday Night" in the 2008/2009 season and will be broadcasted live on Sky Sport 2. As always, there will be a rich pre-match on Sky Sport 2, from about 8 pm, and right in the pre-match of Monday night there will be a nice, long, in-depth interview with David Cameron Lee by Luca Corsolini who were both guests at the Galleria Ferrari in Maranello for the last couple of days. During the interview we'll get to know the American central and winner of gold in Beijing 2008 a bit better. In the picture David Cameron Lee at the Galleria Ferrari in Maranello
25.09.2008 - DAVID LEE AT INTERAUTO MERCEDES BENZ. "WHAT A WELCOME IN MODENA, WE'RE CONCENTRATING ON MONTICHIARI NOW..."
This morning a new Class A 180 CDI was given to David Cameron Lee at Interauto, Mercedes Benz agent in Via Cavani 80 in Modena, commercial partner of Pallavolo Modena. Apart from the American Olympic champion, doctor Angela Santi was present, director of Interauto Mecedes Benz, and Roberto Longagnani, branch manager. And it was the opportunity to meet David Lee in his first days in Modena, to talk about his physical condition and his first engagement in the championship: Monday night, on the 29th of September, at 8.30 pm in Montichiari (Live on Sky TV): "For now I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome they gave me in Modena - David Cameron Lee, 26-year-old central of 203 cm, best blocker at the Olympics in Beijing 2008 won by the United States, emphasises - Everybody welcomed me in the best way: everyone is friendly with me, I like the city and I already discovered that the food is excellent... As for my condition, I can't say when I will be in the field exactly. I'm working a lot on the ankle and the medical staff of the organisation follows me carefully every day. There are some steps I have to respect to get better: I would like to play as soon as possible but without pushing too much. In the meantime I've seen the team training, I'm always with them and I have to say the trainings are very intense and of high quality. Trenkwalder is a team with a lot of strong players, they all give everything all the time, it's clear they want to do well. We'll be complete with Murilo, Dennis and myself coming back, but we're already strong like this. I see enthusiasm, concentration and confidence amongst us, even if we know, of course, that Montichiari is a very competitive team. I'm curious to see the first match of the Italian championship: I know the value of players like Howard, Horstink, Gavotto, Esko, Sala and it will be a very difficicult match. It could be details that will make the difference in every set: a block, a defence, a replay or a service. I'll be in Montichiari: I want to be by the side of my teammates!". 24.09.2008 - AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE HOSPITAL-UNIVERSITY OF MODENA AND PALLAVOLO MODENA
The convention between the Hospital-University of Modena and Trenkwalder volley was presented this morning, Wednesday the 23rd of September. "We are happy and honoured that Trenkwalder Modena chose to sign this agreement with us - declares Stefano Cencetti, general director of the Hospital-University of Modena -. Sports is the way to a healthy life: doing sports helps to be healthy." Also Coni is a supporting company of the convention: "The convention is not only about top teams - Coni Modena's director Franco Bertoli adds -, but regards all Modenese sports." Also Pallavolo Modena vice director Pietro Pela is satisfied with the agreement: "First of all I would like to thank the Hospital of Sassuolo that we worked with las year. Moreover, we're very happy we had the possibility to join this convention that's had its effects even outside Modena." Doctor Alessandro Cristiani will be one of the three doctors of Pallavolo Modena, together with colleagues Ennio Gallo and Luigi Tarallo, according to the convention: "A typical point of the convention - doctor Cristiani explains - is the acceptation by the two contracting parties of an ethical code regarding the relationship between the medical team, the sports association and the technical staff in order to protect the fundamental rights of the athletes from practicing sports free of the use of doping, to inappropriate use of supplements, supported by a correct diet, to guarantee the present and future health of the athletes." 22.09.2008 - TRENKWALDER MODENA... "ON BOARD OF THE SHIP": HERE IS THE NEW SHIRT OF THE LIBERO
Gala evening at the Palasport Giuseppe Panini in Modena. A few days before the beginning of the A1 Series Championship (Modena will make its début on Monday the 29th of September in Montichiari), Trenkwalder Modena will present itself officially to all its fans, friends and supporters. Before the evening started (at 9 pm), a press conference was held to present the new shirt of the libero. Pietro Pela (Vice President of Pallavolo Modena), Leonardo Caponi (Sportive Director of Pallavolo Modena), Paolo Casarini of "Backstage" and Brand Manager of "One Piece" and the two liberos of Trenkwalder Modena Pietro Rinaldi and Edoardo Ciabattini gave acte de presence. Modena is the cradle of volleyball and has always been a springboard and a leading club on a national and international level. Like last season, Pallavolo Modena presents an ad hoc partnership again this year for the shirts of the liberos. After Marvel, there is an other prestigious and captivating supporter. The fortunate association of Backstage together with Toei Animation goes on with "One piece", one of the most appreciated animation series amongst the Italian audience, that the Japanese Licensor entrusted to the Modenese organisation again. "One Piece", known in Italy as "All'arrembaggio" (board a ship), is a Shonen Manga that came out first in Japan in 1997 and in Italy in 2001. In 1999 an animation has been made based on the fortunate cartoon, produced by Toei Animation. After the extraordinary success in Japan, Mediaset decided to program the series again from the beginning of July 2008 with 102 unpublished episodes. "One Piece", that is broadcasted 5 days a week at 4.05 pm, is getting very high ratings with an average of 1.700.000 viewers a day with peaks up to 2.300.000. Pietro Rinaldi and Edoardo Ciabattini, the two liberos of Trenkwalder Modena, will put Rubber's clothes on, the young pirate who dreams of having the power to elongate himself and change into any shape and who wants to become "King of the pirates". To reach that he will have to find the dream of every pirate: the legendary treasure "One Piece". There is a crew of 6 friends around him who help him with his search (6 + 1, just like a volleyball team!). Adventure and bravery, positive values and team spirit, ambition and commitment, dreams and hopes: Toei Animation and Trenkwalder Modena share goals and projects. Rinaldi and Ciabattini are ready to guide Trenkwalder Modena "All'arrembaggio" (on board of the ship)!!!
