05.02.2010 - SLOVENIAN SPIKER JASMIN CUTURIC IS A NEW PLAYER OF MODENA

Pallavolo Modena reached an agreement with the Solvenian spiker Jasmin Cuturic till the end of the present season.
Cuturic will have number 6 and will be at disposal of Mr. Silvano Prandi PhD next Sunday for the match against Cuneo.
The Slovenian Athlete trained in Modena last week, and he is a spiker with a great international experience.
" I'm happy to be a player of Modena, he said this morning- I started training here at the beginning of January, but I thought to give my apport only during training sessions. Then Da Re and Prandi gave me a possibility. I had already decided not to come back playing in Iran Anymore , and I tried to solve my situation shortly .
Here there is a great group. Technically Trenkwalder is a high quality team . The match vs. Treviso and in Coppa Italia vs. Trento showed we can play against every team. We have to go on working and growing up to improve our level. Our aim? Close at 4th place the regular season will be the top. To do it, we must win important matches. We have to think match by match.. or training by training."

01.02.2010 - AFTER COPPA ITALIA. BRUNO DA RE:"PROUD OF MODENA"

Tomorrow, Tuesday 2nd of February, TRENKWALDER will start training again for the match vs Cuneo (8th day A1 TIM).
The day after Final four in Montecatini we talked about Coppa Italia to Bruno Da Re , Gm of Modena. " In Montecatini the winner was Trento, the best Team of the Championship. I'm really proud of the progress which brought us to the final four: we were fourth at the end of the first part of the championship, with a splendid first part of championship and we won a splendid match vs Macerata in the quarter finals.
After the semifinals of Saturday I went to the changing room and I said to the guys that this must be a starting point. Playing this kind of matches made the group grow. We have to understand the real value of our opposing teams. If we want to go on enjoying also in the second part of the regular season and in play offs, if we want to try something vs the strongest team we will have to start from the match of Saturday and go on working and growing every day. This Coppa Italia was a great experience and there is the great satisfaction to have seen a lot of supporters from Modena, probably the largest group of supporters even if we weren't favoured our supporters are great.

Trenkwalder Modena went out from Coppa Italia during the semi finals of Saturday at Palamadigan IN Montecatini vs. the Battleship Itas Trento. Trento, who won the Cup During the finals vs Cuneo (3-1).
A good result for the Gialloblu Team, who Saturday during the semi finals won the "supporting" match: more than 600 supporters with the yellow t-shirt "we are back". Another demonstration of the passion and enthusiasm of the gialloblu supporters, always besides Trenkwalder.
The team will start training again tomorrow, Tuesday for the match vs. Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo (18,00).

24.01.2010 - TRENKWALDER WON 3-1 VS SISLEY: 5000 IN PALAPANINI

Trenkwalder won the 97th "derby d'Italia" vs Sisley Treviso after a great match, with splendid performances and a play off intensity .
Great emotions for the 5000 in a hot Palapanini and a prepared audience (Anastasi, Daniele Bagnoli, Cantagalli, Blangè, Gortzen…).
In the first set Treviso played well with the diagonal Ricardinho- Fei . Trenkwalder didn't break up and played point on point during the second, finding the winning wriggle with Diaz . In the third Dennis started making points, Modena goes 24-20 but Ricardinho went beating and drawed . The match was great and a block of Dennis closed 35-33.
In the fourth Modena gave the rhythm of the match , Sisley resisted , but gialloblu team could find the winning play, which gave three golden points for the list.
Next week end Modena and Treviso will be busy in the final four of Coppa Italia in Montecatini : trenkwalder will play the semifinal vs. Trento , Sisley vs Cuneo.

19.01.2010 - SUNDAY: TREVISO. KOOISTRA:" WHAT A MATCH!" .

Double training today for trenkwalder Modena, which is working to prepare the match of Sunday 24th January when at 6,00 pm at Palapanini there will be the "derby of Italy" against Sisley Treviso (7th day return of Serie A Tim)
"Playing against Treviso in Modena is always special, and opposite us there will be my dutch friends Horstink and Bontje, said Wytze Kooistra. I love Palapanini when is full, there is a super atmosphere. In Monza we played some good volleyball but we did some mistakes and there were some referee's mistakes. My Serve at the end of the first match was in.
Against Treviso we mustn't fail and we must play our best volleyball. It will be a difficult and intensive match. Sisley is a great team and it's an important match for the results too.
During the return every match is always more difficult: the teams are better and everyone wants to do points to reach the aims and after our splendid first leg all the teams are perfectly studying us and against us they play their best volleyball . I think that next one will be an open match. The one who will play its best volleyball will win, so we must concentrate on ourselves and on our way of playing."
